Student Wellbeing Mentor

Supporting young people to build confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.

School life can feel overwhelming at times. Academic pressures, friendships, family changes, anxiety, self-esteem challenges, and the transition through adolescence can all impact a young person's emotional wellbeing. As a Student Wellbeing Mentor, I provide a safe, supportive space where students can talk openly, develop coping strategies, and build confidence in themselves.

1:1 Wellbeing Sessions

Individual mentoring sessions offer students dedicated time to explore their thoughts and feelings in a calm, non-judgemental environment. Together we work on practical tools and strategies to help them navigate challenges and feel more confident both in and out of school.

Areas of support may include:

>Anxiety and worry

>Self-esteem and confidence

>Friendship and relationship challenges

>Emotional regulation

>Exam stress and academic pressure

>Transition to sixth form, college or university

>Motivation and goal setting

>Building resilience and positive mindset

Sessions are tailored to the individual needs of each teen and focus on helping them feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Small Group Wellbeing Sessions

Small group sessions provide a supportive environment where students can connect with others, learn valuable life skills, and realise they are not alone in their experiences.

Group programmes can cover topics such as:

>Managing anxiety and stress

>Confidence building

>Positive self-image

>Emotional wellbeing

>Mindfulness and relaxation techniques

>Communication and friendship skills

>Resilience and coping strategies

Working in a small group encourages discussion, peer support, and shared learning while helping students develop confidence in a safe and nurturing setting.

My Approach

Drawing on my experience as a coach, hypnotherapist, breathwork facilitator, and wellbeing practitioner, I use a gentle, compassionate approach that helps students feel comfortable and supported. My focus is always on helping young people develop the emotional tools they need to thrive both now and in the future.

As well as working privately with families I am available to run sessions in schools, alternative provisions, sports clubs, and community settings.

Helping young people feel calmer, more confident, and better equipped to navigate life's challenges.
